Original Model Proposed Grumman Boeing Space ShuttleThis original model, labeled #20 on the bottom of the stand, of the proposed grumman boeing space shuttle was a gift to my mother who was a member of the national transportation safety baord (ntsb) in the early 1970s. The model is 15 inches long (17 1/2 inches when on the stand), 11 1/2 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches deep. The elft horizontal stabilizer on the main vehicle was broken off and repaired sometime. Some paint has fallen off of the left side of the vertical stabilizer on the main vehicle and is begining to peel from the same part on the small vehicle. There is also a little bit of paint missing from around the cockpit of the main vehicle. These problems show in the photographs. This model hsa been boxed since at least 1980. My mother died in 1999 and i am now going through her things and posting some here on ebay. Please email be if you would like further information.
